The challenge

The French telecommunication provider was looking for a durable and sustainable returnable packaging solution that could stand the toll caused by frequent loops between their warehouses in France and their repair centre in Czech Republic. Furthermore, they were interested in reducing the cost associated with their return logistics caused by the frequent transportation of empty containers.

Our approach

After understanding the need for a custom returnable packaging solution that the client could seamlessly integrate into their existing manufacturing loop, Corplex offered AkyPak polypropylene foldable containers. AkyPak comes in a wide range of dimensions, is lighter than traditional packaging, can optimise cargo utilisation and reduce costs associated with logistics and transportation. AkyPak’s foldability allowed for maximum optimisation of cargo and ample reduction of return logistic costs.

The results:

Corplex provided the telecommunication provider with AkyPak foldable polypropylene containers that are cost effective, ergonomic, reusable and recyclable. The custom-manufactured returnable containers were made with a front removable door which optimised the ergonomics of reloading and unloading the products and effectively fit into the existing supply chain.

After a six month period from initial contact to delivery of packaging, AkyPak was successfully tested throughout the telecommunication provider’s supply chain logistics, providing the business with the expected savings in packaging material, reduction of product waste, logistics and transportation. Due to the success of the implementation, the telecommunications provider will be using AkyPak polypropylene foldable containers in other geographical areas.
